Judy Patrick

President and CEO Judy Patrick has led the programmatic work of the Women’s Foundation of CA since 1999.

Under Judy’s leadership, the Foundation is now recognized for working across issues to bridge disparate social justice movements, funding new and emerging grassroots organizations, strengthening leaders and organizations through conferences and research and engaging in policy advocacy toward long-term systemic change.

Judy developed the Foundation’s groundbreaking Women’s Policy Institute, the only program of its kind in the country that is training nonprofit women leaders to be policy advocates.

Prior to coming to the Foundation, Judy directed the work of several nonprofits as executive director of the San Francisco-based Women’s Philharmonic and director of Girls Count, a Colorado initiative to change systems that impact girls’ educational achievement and career planning. She also led Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, a Denver organization that advances self-sufficiency primarily for low-income Latinas and youth. Judy has served on the faculty of the University of Colorado at Denver and Regis University, where she taught program development and evaluation.
